Meet the Team: The Faces Behind Sue’s Fashions

Today, I want to introduce you to the amazing people who make Sue’s Fashions possible.

Behind every stitch, every design, and every package that arrives at your door, there are real people with passion and skill. They’re the heart of our brand, and it’s time you got to know them!

Let’s start with Maria, our head designer. With her sketchbook always in hand, Maria is the creative force behind our gentle aesthetic. She spent 15 years designing for big fashion houses before joining us because she wanted to create clothes that real women would love to wear every day. When she’s not drawing new designs, Maria tends to her garden – which explains why so many of our pieces have names like “Sunflower Dress” and “Lavender Tee”!

Then there’s Tom, our fabric specialist. Tom is known around the office for his incredible sense of touch. He can feel a fabric and instantly know if it’s right for our brand. “If it doesn’t feel good in your hand,” he always says, “it won’t feel good on your body.” Tom travels to find materials that are both beautiful and comfortable. His latest discovery? A super-soft cotton blend that feels like a cloud – look for it in our upcoming winter collection!

Sarah handles all our patterns and sizing. She’s on a mission to make sure Sue’s Fashions looks good on everybody – not just models. Before any design goes into production, Sarah tests it on women of different shapes and sizes. Her famous “sit test” (can you sit comfortably in this?) has saved us from many almost-mistakes! When she’s not working, Sarah loves to bake, and we all benefit from the cookies she brings to meetings.

If you’ve visited our Nashville store, you’ve probably met Jamie or Luis. They don’t just sell clothes – they help you build a wardrobe you’ll love. Jamie has an amazing eye for color and can instantly tell which shades will make your complexion glow. Luis is our layering expert, showing customers how one simple dress can be styled five different ways. Both believe shopping should be fun, not stressful.

Finally, there’s our customer service team – Alex, Dani, and Pat. They’re the friendly voices who answer your emails and make sure your orders arrive safely. They track packages, solve problems, and sometimes just chat with customers who call to say how much they love their new purchases. The team has a board in their office where they pin the nicest messages they receive – it’s completely covered in notes!

We may not be the biggest team in fashion, but we’re certainly one of the most dedicated. Each person brings their special talent and their kind heart to creating clothes that help you feel beautifully, confidently yourself.
